Solenix is a founding member of the Swiss Aerospace Cluster, a new Swiss business network for the aerospace market.
The Swiss Aerospace Cluster is an organization, mainly targeted at SMEs, with the goal to strengthen the market appearance and position for Swiss companies in cooperation with universities and research institutes. The cluster will support innovative projects, promote technology transfer, connect the Swiss aerospace sector in general and represent its members on national and international level.
The formation of the cluster was just the first step. The board and the advisory board presented a full agenda of activities for the first year of the cluster, including participation in relevant fairs, a survey of the whole Swiss aerospace sector, the implementation of a database to store and maintain the collected information, the provision of a communication platform for companies, universities and research institutes.
Solenix Managing Director Alex Baumgartner has been elected to the executive board of the cluster. Solenix is thus not only a founding member, but also an active supporter of the Swiss Aerospace Cluster. The event, which hosted about interested 100 people, was closed with a fly over of the well known Patrouille Suisse.
