Solenix’s Elveti to Power Ground Segment of Astrocast

28 November 2016

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, 28th November 2016 – Solenix GmbH and ELSE SA have entered a license agreement that will allow ELSE to rely on Solenix’s Satellite Control System, Elveti, as foundation for the ground segment of its future constellation of nanosatellites, Astrocast.

ELSE is currently developing a highly innovative solution for gathering data from connected objects all over the globe using a constellation of nanosatellites. ELSE’s approach will provide a low-cost and truly global network, optimized for small data as found in machine-to-machine (M2M) communications.

By using the flight-proven Elveti for its ground segment and the control of its satellites, ELSE can focus on its core business: developing its cutting-edge technologies for the transfer of small data and building the M2M products and services around it.

For Elveti, this is a remarkable opportunity to demonstrate its multi-satellite capabilities. Solenix and ELSE intend to collaborate in expanding Elveti’s functionalities in further domains such as constellation overview and automation.
